Remembering Zahra Abdille

As one of the first members of our team, she became highly regarded for her clinical skills and kind, gentle nature. Her friendliness, knowledge, and professionalism made her a valued member of our community.

National Housing Day: Looking for a Place to Call Home

In the year 2000, November 22 was recognized as National Housing Strategy Day. Events include awareness raising about housing and focusing on the needs of individual communities (The Homless Hub). According to a 2014 report by the Canadian Association of Retired Persons (CARP), statistics show that 12% of seniors live in poverty. That percentage amounts to approximately 600,000 people, most of whom are seniors living alone and struggling financially.
